Jason received his MFA in Lighting Design and Technology from Purdue University. He most recently worked at Walt Disney World in Orlando, FL as a Production Planner, Lighting Programmer/Technician, and Lighting Designer while continuing to work as a freelance lighting and web designer throughout Central Florida.

Among his recent major live events are Lead Lighting Programmer for: New Year's Eve 2007, 2008, and 2009, and Night of Joy 2008, all at Disney's Hollywood Studios and Lighting Designer for the 2008 New Year's Eve, Super Soap Weekend and Tower of Terror 13K Marathon also at Disney's Hollywood Studios and Lighting Designer for Christmas Storytellers and the Tree Lighting remount at EPCOT.

As the Production Planner for countless special events and conventions at Disney's Hollywood Studios, Jason was responsible for planning and implementing the technical aspects of entertainment offerings from lighting to sound, staging and graphics for numerous special events including multiple Super Soap Weekends, ESPN the Weekends, and Tom Joyner Family Reunions as well as major conventions for Outback Steakhouse, One Mighty Party, Kawasaki, Grainger, and Pampered Chef among many, many others.

Jason has been designing theatrical lights professionally for nearly 15 years. His Central Florida credits include the Orlando-UCF Shakespeare Festival (Now the Orlando Shakespeare Theater), Theatre Winter Haven, Theatre Downtown, and Theatre UCF (Now UCF Conservatory Theatre). His other design credits span the country including Phoenix Theatre, Indianapolis, IN, Emporia Summer Theatre, Emporia, KS, Summer Stages Repertory Theatre, Georgetown, TX and Purdue University.

Jason's teaching experience includes Course Director of Show Light Engineering in the Show Production and Touring Division of Full Sail University where he taught moving light technology, troubleshooting, programming, design & CAD as well as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Central Florida where he taught Script Analysis.

Jason originally hails from South Dakota where he attended South Dakota State University, receiving degrees in both theatre and music education.
